A stunt double doesn’t show up for a pivotal scene and Amy is thrust into the role where she’s forced to risk her life in order to get the perfect shot for Harriet. Everything is going according to plan… until the unexpected happens and lives hang in the balance.

Firstly, I just want to apologize to everyone who has been waiting for this book. It was never my intention for it to take me this long to write it. As some of you may know, I was in a somewhat bad car accident last year (it’ll be one year this week) and I’m still struggling with the aftermath. It left me with a back injury that will likely never get better (among other things) and it’s something I’ll have to learn to live with. The whole ordeal has been ridiculously frustrating and it has certain impacted my ability to write. Sitting in a chair for more than a few hours a day has become impossible. When the pain is bad enough, my hands become numb and typing is out of the question.

Anyway, I’m working hard to try to get better (as much as is possible given my injuries). I’ll continue to write as much as possible going forward as it’s one of the few things I have left that bring me joy.

Starting next month, I’ll be in Europe for about 7 weeks. It’s a trip I’m taking to help me enjoy life again and to really focus on my writing. My plan is to write as much as possible and just take it easy in a place without the normal distractions found in everyday life.

I promise you’ll hear from me again in the very near future and I hope you continue to enjoy the books I love writing. Take care and happy reading!

Emma

p.s. I hope I didn’t come across as complaining or making excuses—I just wanted to provide some insight into what’s going on in my life to help explain why I didn’t release new books when I promised I would.
